Boeing grows order book with 893 net orders in 2018

Boeing expanded (08-Jan-2019) its order book with 893 net orders in 2018, valued at USD143.7 billion according to list prices. Orders include 203 aircraft sales in Dec-2018. The order backlog grew for nearly every programme, including 218 widebody orders. The 787 extended its status as the fastest selling widebody jet in history with 109 orders in 2018 and 1400 orders since the programme launched. The 777 family continued steady sales momentum with 51 net orders in 2018. The 777 programme exceeded 2000 orders since launching. The 737 MAX family surpassed 5000 net orders in Dec-2018, with 181 new sales during the month. The 737 programme achieved 675 net orders in 2018, including sales to 13 new customers.
