    Australia‘s Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reported (03-Jul-2019) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia for Apr-2019:

    • Passengers: 3.5 million, +4.2% year-on-year;
    • Available seats: 4.3 million, -3.8%;
    • Cargo: 84,517 tonnes, -6.8%;
    • Flights: 16,815, +0.5%;
    • Aircraft movements: 17,249, +0.4%;
    • Top 10 international carriers:
      • Share of passengers carried:
        • Qantas: 17.9%, +0.2ppt;
        • Jetstar Airways: 8.5%, -0.8ppt;
        • Singapore Airlines: 8.4%, +0.6ppt;
        • Virgin Australia: 7.1%, +0.9ppt;
        • Air New Zealand: 6.9%, stable;
        • Emirates: 6.6%, -0.7ppt;
        • Cathay Pacific: 4.9%, +0.3ppt;
        • China Southern Airlines: 3.1%, 0.3ppt;
        • Qatar Airways: 3.0%, +0.5ppt;
        • Malaysia Airlines: 2.6%, +0.4ppt;
      • Share of cargo carried:
        • Singapore Airlines: 16.4%, +0.4ppt;
        • Qantas: 11.5%, +0.3ppt;
