    Australia‘s Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reported (03-Oct-2019) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia for Jul-2019:

    • Passengers: 3.7 million, +0.7% year-on-year;
    • Available seats: 4.6 million, -1.3%;
    • Cargo: 87,557 tonnes, -9.0%;
    • Flights: 17,880, -0.3%;
    • Aircraft movements: 18,336, -0.6%;
    • Top 10 international carriers:
      • Share of passengers carried:
        • Qantas Airways: 17.3%, +0.2ppt;
        • Jetstar Airways: 8.8%, +0.3ppt;
        • Singapore Airlines: 8.5%, +0.5ppt;
        • Emirates: 6.9%, -1.0ppt;
        • Virgin Australia: 6.9%, +0.7ppt;
        • Air New Zealand: 6.4%, stable;
        • Cathay Pacific: 4.7%, stable;
        • Qatar Airways: 3.3%, +0.2ppt;
        • AirAsia X: 3.1%, -0.5ppt;
        • Malaysia Airlines: 2.8%, +0.4ppt;

        • Singapore Airlines: 15.9%, stable;
        • Qantas Airways: 12.4%, +0.3ppt;

    LCCs AirAsia X, Cebu Pacific Air, Indonesia AirAsia, Jetstar Airways, Jetstar AsiaScoot and Thai AirAisa X accounted for 15.4% of total international passenger traffic to/from Australia in Jul-2019. LCC share in Jul-2019 was 15.0%.
