Bitcoin Watch – JPMorgan sued over fees for cryptocurrency purchases

Reuters have confirmed JPMorgan Chase & Co is facing a lawsuit in the Manhattan federal court accused of charging surprise fees when it stopped letting customers buy cryptocurrency with credit cards in late Jan-2018 and began treating the purchases as cash advances. Reuters claimed the named plaintiff in the lawsuit, Idaho resident Brady Tucker, was hit with USD143.30 in fees and USD20.61 in surprise interest charges by Chase for five cryptocurrency transactions between 27-Jan and 2-Feb.
