Bitcoin Watch – Is Facebook launching its own Crypto?

According to sources, social media giant Facebook is set to launch its own cryptocurrency, aptly named GlobalCoin. Some believe the crypto could be launched as early as 2020 with testing supposedly already happening. BBC has even reported that Facebook's founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has met with the Bank of England governor Mark Carney to discuss how a Facebook version of bitcoin might work and the risks and regulation involved. The question remains, what impact will this have on Bitcoin and the entire crypto landscape?
