Bitcoin Watch – Economic Nobel Prize winner calls Bitcoin a social movement

Nobel Prize winner for economics, Robert Shiller has called Bitcoin a social movement, observing its popularity in the US varies based on geography. Speaking on Bloomberg TV, Mr Shiller said Bitcoin was more popular on the West Coast than the East Coast, due to Silicon Valley's interest in the Blockchain technology and is therefore an "epidemic of enthusiasm" and is a social movement. Mr Shiller believes in 100 years Bitcoin will not exist but rather evolve into something very different from what it is at the present time.
