Bitcoin Watch – Bitcoin once again slips below USD8,000 after SEC rejects Winklevoss ETF

Bitcoin's value dipped below USD8,000 once again, despite impressive increases over the last few weeks. Analysts believe the decrease is a result of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rejecting the second Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) proposed by the well known Bitcoin investors, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. According to Forbes, the SEC cited concerns about investor protection and market manipulation when explaining its decision to reject the proposed ETF.
