Australia's Great Keppel Island is about to undergo a billion dollar redevelopment funded by a crypto currency tokenisation. This world first initiative involves investors buying Great Keppel Island Tokens to fund the AUD300 million development. The current plans includes a luxury resort, private villas and apartments, a golf course (designed by Australian golfer Greg Norman), retail outlets and a marina. A video on the development company's website boast that "when the development is complete Great Keppel will become the world's largest island cryptocurrency micro-economy".
