Bid for new Tahiti airline, Island, to be raised in Court: report

    Air Calin and Air Vanuatu founder Bill Ravel is reportedly behind a project to establish a new domestic airline in Tahiti, with the project to reportedly be raised in court during the first week of Oct-2018 (La Depeche de Tahiti/Radio New Zealand, 02-Oct-2018). Mr Ravel is reportedly seeking a court ruling on a 2017 application to establish the airline, Island, with no outright rejection of explanation received to date. Mr Ravel is reportedly seeking to commence operations with two Embraer aircraft, operating across the territory’s five archipelagos.
