Bundesverbandes der Deutschen Fluggesellschaften (BDF – Federal Association of German Airlines) reiterated (14-Aug-2018) the need for Germany to consider changes to aviation security control regulation. BDF said retaining the status quo would see passenger controls become “the bottleneck of German aviation”. BDF stated the German aviation industry is “willing to take on more organisational responsibility” away from the government and state authorities “to make the controls sustainable”.
