Bay of Islands Airport opens new USD3.1m terminal

Far North Holdings Ltd, via its official Facebook account, stated (21-Jun-2019) Minister for Regional Economic Development Shane Jones opened the new NZD4.75 million (USD3.1 million) Bay of Islands Airport (also known as Kerikeri Airport) terminal. The new terminal was the first of six "shovel ready" projects in the Far North region to receive funding from the Provincial Growth Fund (PGF). PGF projects are focused on upgrading key infrastructure that underpin the Far North tourism industry and wider economy. Far North Holdings is owned by the Far North District Council.
