Bank of Ireland: Week one of Phase 2 sees consumers spending more on air travel and accommodation

Bank of Ireland stated (17-Jun-2020) analysis of Bank of Ireland debit card transactions over the first full week of 'Phase 2' easing of restrictions conveyed a spike in spending on air travel and accommodation. The analysis tracked debit card spending from 08-Jun-2020 to 14-Jun-2020 and compared it with the baseline average spend during the lockdown, from 28-Mar-2020 to 07-Jun-2020.
