Avinor rolling out new end-to-end touchless travel programme for summer 2020 season

Amadeus reported (03-Jul-2020) Avinor is rolling out a new end-to-end touchless travel programme to mitigate the impact and spread of COVID-19 and restore traveller confidence. Passengers travelling from 17 Norwegian airports will soon begin to check-in, bag drop, pass through security and board the aircraft without interpersonal contact or the need to touch physical machines through new social distancing processes and barcode technology from Amadeus and ICM. The system will be launched at Oslo Airport on 06-Jul-2020, followed by Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim airports, and will initially be available with SAS, Norwegian and Widerøe. [more - original PR]
