Avianca Brazil outlines consolidation plans for international network

Avianca Brazil announced (23-Apr-2017) plans for domestic and international expansion as follows:

  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Miami: Frequency increase from daily to twice daily, effective Dec-2018. Bookings commenced in Apr-2018. The additional capacity is to address "the great demand from clients traveling on business";
  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Santiago: Frequency increase from twice daily to three times daily, effective 22-Jun-2018, operated with a mix of two class A330 and single class A320 aircraft;
  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Vitoria: Launch of twice daily service in Apr-2018;
  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Belem: Launch of daily service in Jun-2018, according to OAG;
  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Maceio: Increase in frequency to twice weekly;
  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Recife: Increase in frequency to five times weekly;
  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Fortaleza: Increase in frequency to five times weekly;
  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos-Salvador: Increase in frequency to eight times weekly;
  • Brasilia-Belem: Launch of operations in Jun-2018.
