Austrian Airlines, via its official Twitter account, announced (10-Jan-2020) it suspended daily Vienna-Tehran service until 20-Jan-2020 inclusive due to the latest reports and the changed assessment of the security situation for airspace around Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport. Austrian Airlines Security continues to evaluate the situation onsite together with Lufthansa Group security and national and international authorities and will decide on resumption of the route upon reception of further information.
