Austrian Airlines, via its official Twitter account, reported (29-Mar-2020) it operated nonstop Vienna-Sydney service with Boeing 777 equipment on 29-Mar-2020, the longest nonstop journey in the carrier's history at more than 17 hours flight time and 16,000km. The route was operated on a one-off basis in order to repatriate Austrian citizens from Australia.
