Australia's Deputy Prime Minister outlines proposed inbound passenger increases

Australia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack stated (17-Sep-2020) South Australia may increase its arrival capacity from 500 to 860 passengers per week, with "perhaps potentially even more". Sydney plans an additional 500 weekly arrivals, and "Queensland has been told to do the same, as has WA". Mr McCormack stated: "We will work with the other States and Territories to ensure that they also do their share of the quarantining of Australians that are returning". [more - original PR]
