Australian monthly inbound tourism update – Apr-2018

Inbound tourists to Australia reached over nine million for the 12 months ending Apr-2018. This is only the second time in history this has happened, the first being Mar-2018, though the figures are slightly down on the March by approximately 20,000 visitors. For the third consecutive month, Chinese tourists topped the list with more than 1.4 million visitors, followed closely by New Zealand with 1.36 million. Bangladesh has shown the largest increase in visitors with over 46% taking their ranking from 45^th for the year ending Apr-2017 to 37^th for the year ending Apr-2018.
