Australian Airports Association calls for USD11m p/a for further 4 years to fund regional airports

Australian Airports Association (AAA) welcomed (23-Mar-2018) the allocation of Government funding to 31 regional airports and called for the continuation of the Remote Airstrip Upgrade Programme for a further four years at AUD15 million (USD11.5 million) p/a. AAA CEO Caroline Wilkie said: "There remains an ongoing need for funding to keep our regional airports connected and thriving and the AAA urges the Federal Government to ensure the upcoming budget doesn't leave them behind".
