Australia Tourism Minister projects 'Indian tourism will continue to grow in the future'

Australia's Tourism Minister Simon Birmingham, speaking at World Routes 2019 in Adelaide, said: "We project Indian tourism will continue to grow in the future and that's why we're growing the marketing and investing, for example, in the T20 World Cup advertising campaign" (Canberra Times, 22-Sep-2019). Mr Birmingham said: "Australia is seeing double-digit growth year-on-year from India however "90 per cent travel through other ports to get to Australia" which "clearly shows we are under-serviced in terms of direct flights" and is looking to increase Australia-India services.
