Australia Govt to provide USD161m to Commonwealth National Parks to assist tourism

Australia's Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Simon Birmingham announced (12-Jul-2020) the biggest single investment made in Australia's Commonwealth National Parks, with more than AUD233 million (USD161.6 million) injected into tourism and other infrastructure. The funding for Uluru-Kata Tjuta and Kakadu, Booderee, Christmas Island, and the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra will provide a boost for tourism and assist tourism businesses and the economy.
