Australia Government to provide assistance to Great Barrier Reef tourism operators

Australia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack announced (12-May-2020) tourism operators on the Great Barrier Reef will receive AUD3 million (USD1.9 million) in additional fee relief, as well as AUD2.6 million (USD1.7 million) from the AUD1 billion (USD645.2 million) Relief and Recovery Fund to upgrade Townsville's Reef HQ tourism infrastructure.
