Australia and China sign commercial agreements on tourism, e-commerce and logistics

    Australia and China signed (07-Nov-2018) 11 commercial agreements across tourism, resources, infrastructure, e-commerce and logistics services, worth around AUD15 billion (USD10.9 billion) over the coming years. Highlights include:

    • Tourism Australia agreement with China Eastern Airlines to promote tourism in major Australian and Chinese markets;
    • Blackmores agreement with JD Global to distribute health products using e-commerce channels;
    • Australia Post agreement with China Certification and Inspection Group Co for cooperation in logistics services, including traceability and tracking capabilities;
    • Austrade agreement to expand procurement of Australian products on Suning Group’s e-commerce platform.

    Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Simon Birmingham said the agreements highlight the “ongoing strength, diversification and growth” of their bilateral trade and investment partnership, underpinned by the China-Australia FTA.
