Auckland Co-op Taxis object to Auckland Airport dedicated Uber pick up zone

Auckland Co-op Taxis chairman Jacob Patel said the company's drivers will consider strike action over Auckland International Airport's decision to launch a dedicated Uber drop off and and pick up zone (Radio NZ, 13-Mar-2019). Auckland International Airport commercial manager Richard Baker noted taxis still have a "premium location right in front of the terminal", and that taxi drivers were already competing against ride share companies before the airport's formal agreement with Uber.
