Auckland and New York City sign tourism partnership agreement

Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) signed (17-Feb-2020) a two year tourism partnership agreement with NYC & Company, the destination marketing organisation for New York City. The parties will promote their respective destinations and focus on attracting visitation through "an economical and collaborative exchange", including reciprocal marketing and promotion. The agreement marks NYC & Company's first formal collaboration with a destination in the South Pacific. Air New Zealand plans to commence nonstop Auckland-New York service in Oct-2020.
