Auckland Airport to continue focus of 'overseas travel in India'

Auckland Airport general manager of aeronautical commercial Scott Tasker reported (08-Oct-2019) the airport continues to focus on "tapping into the demand for overseas travel in India" by "working with airline partners and local travel trade to deliver in-market campaigns that promote the NZ Inc experience". Mr Tasker stated 'tourism and trade ties between India and New Zealand are also likely to further strengthen through the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership" which aims to "establish consistent rules, boost market access and grow trade in southern and eastern Asia". Auckland Airport reported 65,200 Indian citizens visited New Zealand in 2019, with 79,800 New Zealand residents visiting India. [more - original PR]
