Here are the key executive changes for Nov/Dec 2019;

  • AirAsia X appointed Andrew Robert Littledale as CFO, effective 08-Nov-2019;
  • Thai Airways appointed current vice chairman Chaiyapruk Didyasarin as acting chairman, effective 11-Nov-2019;
  • Nok Air appointed Wutthiphum Jurangkool as acting CFO, effective 13-Nov-2019;
  • Regent Airways appointed Imran Asif as CEO, effective 16-Nov-2019;
  • Air Oceania appointed Jean-Luc Datim as president;
  • China Eastern Airlines announced the resignation of deputy general manager Feng Liang;
  • China Eastern Airlines announced deputy GM Tian Liuwen tendered his resignation on 29-Nov-2019 due to retirement;
  • China Eastern Airlines announced the appointment of executive director Xiao Guoqing as deputy chairman of the board, effective 11-Dec-2019;
  • Indonesia's Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi confirmed the appointment of Garuda Indonesia finance director Fuad Rizal as acting CEO, replacing Ari Ashkara;
  • Air New Zealand confirmed Greg Foran will officially commence duties as CEO on 03-Feb-2020;
  • Air New Zealand announced acting CFO Stephan Deschamps will resign from the company in 2Q2020. Mr Deschamps will return to his corporate finance position on 03-Feb-2020 following Jeff McDowall's return to the role of CFO;
  • Air New Zealand announced chief people officer Jodie King will resign by the end of FY2020;
  • AirAsia India appointed Ankur Garg as chief commercial officer (CCO), effective 15-Dec-2019;
  • AirAsia Japan appointed Jun Aida as representative director and COO, effective 01-Jan-2020. Mr Aida took over from CEO Jenny Mayuko Wakana, who stepped down from her role on 31-Dec-2019;
  • Vistara chief commercial officer (CCO) Sanjiv Kapoo resigned for personal reasons, effective 31-Dec-2019;
  • SriLankan Airlines confirmed the appointment of Ashok Pathirage as chairman;
  • AirAsia Group appointed Karen Chan as CEO of airasia.com on 17-Dec-2019;
  • PAL Holdings' board approved the following appointments for PAL Holdings, Philippine Airlines and Air Philippines:
    • John G Tan as PAL Holdings director, replacing Michael G Tan;
    • Lucio C Tan III as PAL Holdings director and Air Philippines director;
    • Carmen K Tan as Philippine Airlines vice chairman;
    • Mark C Chen as Philippine Airlines independent director, replacing Amando M Tetangco Jr;
    • Resignation of Celeste C Mutuc as Philippine Airlines and Air Philippines CFO.
  • Qantas announced Debra Joan Smith resigned as a company secretary of Qantas Airways Limited, effective 20-Dec-2019;
  • Bamboo Airways vice chairman Dang Tat Thang was promoted to CEO, succeeding Trinh Van Quyet, who is also chairman of FLC Group;
  • Air China announced the resignation of director Cao Jianxiong, effective 28-Dec-2019.
