Argentina and Chile sign agreement as precursor to airline interchange agreements: report

15 July, 2019

Argentina ANAC and Chile DGAC reportedly signed a draft agreement as a precursor to regulation allowing interchange agreements between carriers in both countries (Desde SCL, 13-Jul-2019). As previously reported by CAPA, LATAM Airlines Argentina's fleet of long haul aircraft will be barred from operating to the US in 2020 due to the fleet's age, leading the carrier to seek avenues for interchanging aircraft with LATAM Airlines Chile to maintain Buenos Aires Ezeiza-US services.
