American Airlines plans to reorganise its current organisational structure to better reflect its status post-merger, with plans to trim the number of director and other managerial positions (Skift/Dallas News, 19-Jun-2018). CEO Doug Parker and president Robert Isom said: "We need to evaluate our current organisation with a goal to operate more productively. This work starts at the top".
