American Airlines stated (25-Jan-2018) it expects to offer premium economy on most of its widebody fleet by the spring of 2019. Currently 64 widebody aircraft offer the product. President Robert Isom noted: “We are far ahead of our US competitors in offering premium economy on our international flights, which comes just as we begin to prepare for the busy summer travel season”.
