American Airlines 'disappointed a lot of customers' during summer 2019: president

American Airlines president Robert Isom stated the carrier has "certainly" not produced the margins and earnings it had originally intended for 2019, adding: "We haven't run the best airline in our history" (The Seattle Times, 04-Sep-2019). He noted the carrier has "disappointed a lot of customers" during summer 2019 and said he thinks "quite a bit of revenue" was given over to competitors instead. "That's something that we're going to put a halt to", he stated.
