American Airlines core operating metrics steadily improving: president

American Airlines president Robert Isom said the airline is steadily improving its core operating metrics since the merger, despite falling short of its 2018 target (Seeking Alpha, 24-Jan-2019). Mr Isom said the airline's system level on time departure performance improved 4.5 points year-on-year during Dec-2018, with its completion factor up 1.3 points. Additionally, he noted the airline completed the integration of 27,000 flight attendants in 4Q2018.
