American Airlines CEO could stop passengers from changing non refundable tickets

American Airlines CEO Doug Parker said the airline would consider preventing passengers from changing non refundable tickets if Congress limits airlines’ ability to charge for adjustments (Bloomberg, 19-Sep-2018). Mr Parker stated: “That non-refundable ticket is of value to us… We knew that seat was going to be filled. It allowed us to do other things. We sold the rest of the airplane knowing that seat was going to be filled”.
