American Airlines: ‘All signs look positive’ for extending first class service on LA-Tokyo route

American Airlines VP Asia Pacific Shane Hodges stated the airline is considering extending first class service on the Los Angeles-Tokyo route (Business Traveller, 24-Jul-2019). Mr Hodges said: “At this stage we do not plan to extend the 777-300ER service beyond October 27, but this is of course under review. All signs look positive at this stage”. The airline introduced first class service on the route in early Jun-2019, with four class configuration Boeing 777-300ER equipment replacing three class 787-9.
