Amaszonas adds E190s to fleet as part of modernisation programme

Embraer commercial aviation president and CEO John Slattery, via his personal LinkedIn account, announced (15-Oct-2019) Amaszonas commenced scheduled services with 112 seat Embraer E190 aircraft leased from GECAS. The carrier has acquired an additional four E190s from CDB Leasing, two of which will be placed at the airline's subsidiary. The E190s from CDB Leasing will have 110 seats. Mr Slattery stated: "Amaszonas sought larger aircraft to replace its smaller capacity CRJs as part of a fleet modernisation programme. The E190s will serve domestic cities and eventually fly on routes to neighbouring countries". According to OAG, the aircraft was deployed on 40 times weekly Santa Cruz-La Paz service.
