Amadeus publishes case study on Norwegian; one in five bookings made by travel agencies

    Amadeus published (19-Jul-2018) a case study on Norwegian Group. Findings include:

    • Group increased global passengers 75% since 2013;
    • More than 50% of total revenue generated from outside Scandinavia;
    • Carrier offers more than 70 long haul destinations.

    “As Norwegian goes global, travel agencies are playing an important role in the airline’s expansion and success, accounting for one in every five bookings”, Amadeus said. With more than 25% of Amadeus agency bookings coming from outside its home market, Norwegian saw 110% growth in long haul bookings over the last three years.
