Amadeus and Off Airport Check-In Solutions (OACIS) announced (05-Nov-2017) a partnership to develop a ‘pop-up’ platform enabling travellers to check-in and drop off their bags, for any airline, away from the airport. Using the Amadeus Airport Common Use Service (ACUS) passenger processing system and cloud technology solution, OACIS can provide off-airport, fully mobile check-in able to be set up at any location. The service is launching in Australia, but OACIS is planning to expand to New Zealand and other markets in the next 12 to 18 months. [more – original PR]
