All Nippon Airways (ANA) partnered (07-Jan-2019) with Showa Shell Sekiyu KK to purchase 70,000 US gallons of sustainable aviation fuel, which will be mixed with the current fuel ANA is using on services to San Francisco and lead to the reduction of around 150 tons of carbon dioxide. This is the first direct contract ANA has in place to purchase the fuel. ANA has selected sustainable aviation fuel from World Energy for use in ANA aircraft at San Francisco International Airport.
