Allegheny County Airport Authority voted to increase the customer facility charge at Pittsburgh International Airport from USD5.50 to USD6.00, effective 01-Feb-2020 (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 18-Jan-2020). Pittsburgh International Airport CEO Christina Cassotis said revenue generated from the USD6.00 charge will be used to fund new car rental facilities in the new parking garage being constructed as part of the USD1.1 billion airport modernisation project.
