Airlines for America: Industry struggling to keep pace with the rising cost of fuel

Airlines for America chief economist John Heimlich stated the airline industry has struggled to "keep pace with the rising cost of fuel", amongst "many" other costs (Bloomberg, 29-Aug-2018). He stated: "I can assure you carriers are looking at every aspect of their revenue arsenals and cost elements to try to right the ship".
