airBaltic to station aircraft at Scandinavian airports upon exercising options for 30 A220-300s

25 February, 2020

airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss said aircraft will be stationed at four airports in Scandinavia if the carrier exercises options to acquire 30 A220-300s (Routes Online, 24-Feb-2020). Mr Gauss added the aircraft would operate point to point routes and would not "fly into the Baltic system". The decision on the option is not expected until the end of 2021. As previously reported by CAPA, A220-300 will be the only jet type operated by airBaltic by the end of 2022.
