airBaltic approves new business plan, looks to resume operations with 22 aircraft fleet

27 April, 2020

airBaltic approved (24-Apr-2020) the new Destination 2025 CLEAN business plan, to reflect the impact of the coronavirus crisis and adjustments made to the five year strategy. The original Destination 2025 plan relies on expansion of routes from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, and a significant increase in passengers and revenue by 2025. The new plan foresees a reduced fleet for the upcoming years, initially resuming operations with 22 A220-300s. The new plan takes into account the reduced capacity for the years 2020 and 2021, while at the same time foresees return to growth with up to 50 A220-300s by the end of 2023. [more - original PR]
