AirAsia X to operate 18 additional services between Kuala Lumpur and Gold Coast over Christmas

    AirAsia announced (25-Sep-2018) AirAsia X plans to operate an additional 18 return services between Kuala Lumpur and the Gold Coast in summer 2018/19, delivering more than 13,000 additional international visitor seats in and out of the region. Frequency will increase on AirAsia X’s seven times weekly Kuala Lumpur-Gold Coast route to 11 times weekly from mid Dec-2018 to mid Jan-2019. Gold Coast Airport CEO Chris Mills said: “Thanks to AirAsia we are seeing more travellers from key international visitor markets like China, Japan and India come to the Gold Coast through Kuala Lumpur”. Gold Coast Airport is currently Australia‘s sixth busiest airport, with passenger numbers expected to reach 16.6 million annually by 2037.
