AirAsia launches ‘OURSHOP’ online retail platform

    AirAsia launched (04-Jul-2018) the ‘OURSHOP’ online marketplace with its first official airport partner, Plaza Bali Duty & Tax Free. The shopping and services platform is based on customer insights, global logistics capabilities and premium products. The system connects AirAsia passengers to a range of airport, high street and local retailers with support for cashless transactions, including AirAsia’s ‘BigPay’ mobile payment app. Products will be available to customers throughout the travel process, including online booking, social media, check in, boarding, inflight WiFi and arrival. ‘OURSHOP’ offers multiple delivery options, including at the airport, onboard, in-store and home delivery, which will be rolled out in phases. Members of the AirAsia ‘BIG’ loyalty programme may earn and redeem points through ‘OURSHOP’. AirAsia intends to make ‘OURSHOP’ a stand alone product available to other airlines, “in the long run”.
