AirAsia India board to consider expansion plan: report

AirAsia India's management reportedly proposed a plan to the board which would involve fleet expansion from 20 to 60 aircraft through a combination of purchasing and leasing over the next five years (The Economic Times, 26-Feb-2019). The airline would reportedly deploy 40% of capacity on international routes, subject to approval from India's Government to commence international operations. Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur may be the carrier's first international destinations.
