AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, via his official Twitter account, announced (30-Jul-2019) the carrier will remove processing fees for payments using online banking and credit cards from Oct-2019 (Bernama/The Edge Markets/New Straits Times/Malay Mail, 30-Jul-2019). The processing fee is usually MYR4 (USD0.96) using direct debit and MYR16 (USD3.87) for UnionPay.
