AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said the carrier is in discussions with Airbus to potentially convert orders for A320 aircraft to A321s (Bloomberg, 08-Nov-2018). He said the additional 50 seats on an A321 compared to an A320 "gives us more bang for our buck". Mr Fernandes described the A321 as a "fantastic aircraft". He also said: "We potentially may look at a few more orders".
