AirAsia Group implementing cost cutting measures in response to coronavirus

AirAsia Group plans to implement various cost containment measures in response to the coronavirus outbreak (New Straits Times, 10-Mar-2020). Acting CEO Bo Lingam stated: "Senior management and I will review them periodically until the situation normalises". The measures could include pay cuts, external training suspensions, duty travel restriction and social event cancellations. Mr Lingam added: "We are also continuously engaging industry stakeholders and tourism authorities for incentives as well as marketing and promotional collaborations".
