AirAsia Group CEO: Malaysia's tourism industry a 'major driver of GDP'

AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, via his official Twitter account, stated (10-Jun-2019) Malaysia's tourism industry is "a major driver of GDP" and job creation, adding it is a top three "foreign exchange earner" for Malaysia. Mr Fernandes said the carrier has supported "over 390,000 jobs directly and indirectly" through the tourism multiplier effect.
