AirAsia and Tourism Western Australia enter USD703,000 marketing agreement

AirAsia announced (03-Jul-2019) an AUD1 million (USD703,448) marketing agreement with Tourism Western Australia. The collaboration will include campaigns aimed at promoting affordable travel to Western Australia, including flight deals, print, television, radio, cinema and online advertising. The collaboration is part of the Western Australian Government's AUD12 million (USD8.4 million) international marketing fund to expand the state's visitor economy. Tourism Minister Paul Papalia stated: "We know that well promoted low cost air fares are a strong drawcard for people to visit Western Australia" adding the deal will cater to "some of our important markets such as Malaysia, India, China and Japan".
